James H. LaRoche

James H. LaRoche, 93, of Plainfield, passed away on October 15, 2021.  He was born in Ridge Farm, IL on September 29, 1928 to the late Charles and Alice LaRoche.  James was an United States Army veteran.  He worked for Lc Cassidy-Gale Insulation and retired in 1994.  James enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting and chopping fire wood in his free time.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Lilly LaRoche; son, Terry LaRoche and several brothers and sisters.  Funeral services will be Friday, October 22, 2021 at 1:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may visit from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm.  Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Survivors include his son, Timmy (JoEllen) LaRoche; daughter, Nona Smith; brothers, Marvin, Don (Donna) and Frank (Marie) LaRoche; 5 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren.
