Jack E. Westhead

Jack E. Westhead, 92, of Plainfield, passed away January 1, 2018.  He was born July 24, 1925 to the late Brigham and Lucille (Munch) Westhead in Hymera, IN.  He was a US Navy veteran of WWII.  He graduated from Indiana State University and received his MA from Butler University.  After 34 years, he retired from Eli Lilly as a Microbiologist.  He also was an avid photographer of weddings for over 25 years.  Many of his photos were published in magazines, calendars, books and book covers.  He was a member of the Plainfield United Methodist Church.  Jack is survived by his wife of 64 years, Kehren; a daughter, Cindy (Lee) Bowman; a son, Doug (Deanna) Westhead; two grandchildren, Justin and Whitney Westhead; a step-granddaughter, Kelley (Mark) Masino; and a great granddaughter, Lila Masino.  Private services were held at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, with burial at Maple Hill Cemetery.  Contributions may be made to the Indiana Honor Flight Program (www.indyhonorflight.org)   Condolences may be sent to www.hamptongentry.com
