Ivan Rex Puckett

Ivan Rex Puckett, 88, of Plainfield, passed away July 1, 2017.  He was born July 7, 1928 to the late Walter and Stella (Sluder) Puckett in Jasonville, IN.  He was a US Air Force veteran.  He graduated from the Airplane Mechanics School in 1951.  He worked for Allison's Division of GM for 39 years retiring as an inspector in 1990.  He was a member of the UAW.  Rex is survived by his wife, Phyllis I. (Hunter) Puckett;  4 sons, Jeffrey E. (Anne), Bruce I. (Tracie), Brian R. (Renee'), and Eric H. (Jennifer) Puckett; a daughter, Lisa E. (James) Harkness; a brother, Max (Margie) Puckett; a sister, Olive Scamihorn; 10 grandchildren, Steven (Jennifer) Puckett, Scott (Jenna) Puckett, Hollie (Jonny) Vessely; Ben Puckett, Brandon (Melissa) Puckett; Thomas Puckett, Joseph Puckett, Amanda Puckett, Evan Puckett, and Emma Puckett; and 3 great grandchildren, Ethan, Caleb and Liam Puckett.  Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Wednesday from 11:00 am until service time at 1:00 pm.  Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield
