Harold R. Moore, 88, of Plainfield, passed away on August 12, 2024. He was born on February 16, 1936 in Mount Carmel, Illinois to the late Yurchel and Mary (Deisher) Moore. Harold served honorably in the United States Army from March 3, 1959 through February 17, 1961. He later married the love of his life, Sandy Easter on December 3, 1965. Harold worked at Snap-On-Tools for 30 years, retiring on August 9, 2001. He and his wife co-owned a family apple orchard for 13 years. Harold enjoyed gardening, playing games, cards, traveling with his wife and church groups, watching the birds and squirrels from his back porch, but most of all spending time with his family. He was also a "recycling" expert, he never saw something as junk. He was a quiet man with the biggest heart. Harold continued to give after death by being a skin donor. Harold was preceded in death by his siblings; Joe Moore, Larry Moore, Charles Moore, Delbert Moore and Delores Venson. Memorial services with military honors will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024 at Plainfield Christian Church (800 Dan Jones Rd. Plainfield, IN 46168) at 11:00am where friends may visit from 10:00am until time of service. Harold is survived by his loving wife, Sandy (Easter) Moore; sons, Eric (Tricia) Moore, Kevin (Melanie) Moore, daughter; Angela (Michael) Creek, sister; Reva (Bernard) Adams of Clarksville, TN, grandchildren; Jeremy Moore, Bradley Moore, Lizzie Moore, Karissa (Michael) Geurkink, Corey Moore, Megan Moore, Christopher (Adriel) Creek, Josh Moore. 13 great-grandchildren.
