George "Bud" Lander Jr.

George "Bud" Lander Jr., 88, of Avon, passed away on February 11, 2021.  He was born on June 28, 1932 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late George Sr. and Sara Lander.  Bud was an United States Navy veteran and served during the Korean War.  He worked for Allison Gas Turbine Division as an engineer, retiring in 1990.  Bud was a reserve deputy for the Hendricks County Sheriff's Department.  He also volunteered for the Avon Fire Department.   Bud enjoyed watching sports and was a Civil War buff.  Funeral services and burial will be private.  Survivors include his loving wife, Carolyn Lander; daughters, Debra Campbell and Diane Lander-Smith; son, Jeffrey (Candace) Lander; 3 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made online to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Association.
