Everett "David" Lyles

Everett "David" Lyles, 81, of Plainfield, passed away on August 22, 2023 surrounded by loving family members.  He was born on December 17, 1941 to the late Everett and Bertha Lyles.  David worked for CSXT and retired on May 29, 2002 as the general car foreman after 40 years of service.  He was a jack of trades and enjoyed fishing and hunting in his free time.  David loved spending time with his family.  He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.  A Celebration Of Life will be Wednesday,  August 30, 2023 at 6:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may visit from 5:00 pm until the time of service at 6:00 pm.  Survivors includes his daughters, Sheri (Scott) Wray and Lori (Dave) Nash; brother, Charles (Delores) Lyles; sister, LuAnn Allen; grandchildren, Mindi (Greg) Reynolds, Josh (Kristin) Crisp, Nicole Nash and Ryan Nash;  great grandchildren, Mason, Bryce and Lane Reynolds, Lyndi and Maddyn Crisp.
