Dorothy L. Robinson

Dorothy L. Robinson, 82, of Plainfield, passed away January 29, 2018.  She was born on June 1, 1935 in Stilesville, IN to the late Delbert Durham and Mollie (Childress) Smith.  Dorothy was the Valedictorian for the class of 1953 at Belle Union High School.  She was a book keeper for 30 years at a trucking company.  Dorothy was a member of the New Life Assembly Of God Church where she would volunteer and enjoyed singing for the church.  She loved reading, sewing and shopping at Goodwill in her spare time.  Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Kirby Robinson; son, Gary Robinson; brother, Armel Durham and a sister, Rosie Ellison.  Funeral services will be Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 12:00 pm (noon) in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may call from 10:00 am until time of service.  Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Survivors include a son, Ricky (Marilyn) Robinson; daughter, Diana (Charles) Arthur; brothers, Dewey, Ronnie and Donnie Durham; sisters, Nancy Sue Clodfelter, Debbie Schone and Kathy Harrison; grandchildren, Vicki Arthur, Amber Hutchinson, Melissa, April, and Matthew Robinson, Wesley Arthur and Justin Robinson; great grandchildren, Austin and Brandon Hutchinson, Isaac Eley, Connor Hutchinson and Gabe Cooper; daughter in law, Cathy Robinson.
