Dorothy A. Hochstetler

Dorothy A. Hochstetler, 92, of Mansfield, OH formerly of Plainfield, IN passed away on November 17, 2019 and is now absent from the body and present with her Lord and Savior.  She was born on February 4, 1927 in Stilesville, IN to the late Carl and Lilly Elmore.  Dorothy was a teachers aid at Brentwood Elementary from 1974 to 1994.  She was the co-owner of the Hendricks County Florist from 1973 to 1993.  Dorothy loved to minister to children in any way possible at various church's over the years.  She enjoyed playing music, singing and quilting.  Dorothy loved spending time with her family.  She was preceded in death by her sons, Mark Richard and Donald Mark Hochstetler; brothers, Dennis (Elsie), Charles (Margaret), Buryl (Rose), Keith (Geneva), Russell (Doris) and Donald Elmore; sister, Sarah (Roy) Callahan.  Funeral services will be Friday, November 22, 2019 at 12:00 pm (noon) in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may visit from 10:00 am until service time.  Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Clay City, IN.  Survivors include her loving husband, Richard Hochstetler; son, Paul David (Diana) Hochstetler; daughter in law, Connie (Adam) Hochstetler Thompson; 7 grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
