Dorothy L. Dodds

Dorothy L. Dodds, 85, of Indianapolis, passed away May 30,2020.  She was born April 30, 1935 to the late Roy and Lucille (Davis) Johnson in Indianapolis, IN.  She retired from Maplehurst Bakeries in data entry.  She enjoyed spending time with her best friends, flower gardening, the beach, traveling, and just being in the sun.  Dorothy is survived by a son, Rick  L. Dodds; a daughter, Dana L. (James Gish) Harris; 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, William Dodds Sr.; a son, William Dodds Jr.,  a brother, Roy Johnson Jr, and her best friend, her cat Zach.  Because of Covid-19, calling and services will be private.  Burial will take place in West Newton Cemetery.  Arrangements by Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield.
