Donna L. Scott

Donna L. Scott, 81, of Indianapolis, passed away August 27, 2022 after a short but courageous battle with complications of colon cancer.  She was born August 22, 1941 as an only child to the late Franklin and Vondalee (Lockwood) Breeze in Duquoin, IL.  After graduation she settled down with her high school sweetheart Donald R. Scott.  She was a hard working, honest and loyal person and raised her children to be the same.  Donna worked for the federal government as an Administrative Assistant to the Indiana Army National Guard for many years retiring in 2004.  She was an avid dog trainer and enjoyed training her dogs and entering competitions with her husband.  She loved reading and being with her family.  Donna is survived by her husband, Donald R. Scott; a son, Steven F. Scott; a daughter, Shari L. Scott; and a granddaughter, Stephanie Scott.  She was preceded in death by her son, David Scott.  Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 1, 2022 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield where friends may call on Thursday from 11:00 am until service time at 1:00 pm.  Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.  She is loved and will be greatly missed.
