Donna Marlene Crowe, 87, of Plainfield, passed away September 5, 2020. She was born August 29, 1933 to the late Burrell and Iva (Jordan) Pierson in Jasonville, IN. She worked as a secretary for Maytag, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, and Bell Telephone and also with her husband at Component Machine until she retired in 1996. Donna was a devoted and loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and sister. She always put others before herself and never had a bad word to say about anyone. She loved flowers, birds, puzzles,
reading, card games, scratch off tickets, crafts, ping pong, darts, corn hole, the color blue and the simple pleasures in life. She enjoyed swinging her grandchildren while singing “You Are My Sunshine” and watching for hummingbirds on her bird feeder. It didn’t take much to make her happy, but Donna had a special gift to make each family member feel like they were the most important person in her life. Donna will be missed each and every day as her family cherishes all the wonderful memories of her life. She is survived by her husband, Thomas W. Crowe Sr.; two sons, Thomas W. (Julie) Crowe Jr., and Greg A. (Kathy) Crowe; a daughter, Cindy L. (Bud) Shrum; a sister, Regina (Robert) Ott; and 5 grandchildren, Buddy Shrum, Amanda Leon, Stephanie Ferrell, Mackenzie Crowe and Madison Crowe. There will be no calling or services. Arrangements by Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield. www.hamptongentry.com
