Daniel Johnston

Daniel Johnston, 63, of Melbourne, FL, formerly of Plainfield, passed away August 7, 2018. He was born May 28, 1955 to the late Henderson and Katy Jean (Abney) Johnston in Indianapolis, IN. He was a 1974 graduate of Avon High School. He was a senior electrical airfield technical designer for RS&H Company from 2016 to 2018. Daniel was a faithful member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his brother, Abe Johnston.  Daniel is survived by his wife, Marsha Lynn (Bratcher) Johnston; daughters, Melisa A. (Larry R. II) Ping, and Vanessa D. (Joshua) Holtkamp; brothers, Samuel (Mary) Johnston, Timothy (Liesa) Johnston and Jonathan Johnston; sister in law, Shelia Johnston; grandchildren, Madison, Lauren, Trey, Levi, Benjamin and Penelope. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 4:00 pm on Sunday, August 12, 2018 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Monday, August 13, 2018 in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.
