Daniel G. Ballard

Daniel G. Ballard, 88, of Clayton, passed away February 9, 2018.  He was born January 2, 1930 to the late Clarence and May (Waggoner) Ballard in Indianapolis, IN.  He was a US Army veteran during the Korean War.  He worked for several Ford dealerships as a mechanic for 28 years retiring in 1978.  Daniel is survived by her two daughters, Myra (Buddy) Soles of Fayetteville, PA, and Diane (Steve) Allen of Clayton; 4 grandchildren, Michele (Dan) Phillips, Bob (Charissa) Shields, Dara (Robert Brown) Allen, and Scot (Stefanie Allen; and two great grandchildren, Cora and Eleanor Shields.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ballard; a son, Benjamin Ballard; and a sister, Pat Anderson.  Private graveside services will be on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 11:00 am in Clayton Cemetery.  Arrangements by Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield.
