Cleo M. Haynes

Cleo M. Haynes, 86, of Avon, passed away July 14, 2019. He was born May 28, 1933 to the late Judge and Lummie (Cole) Haynes in Finney, KY. He was a member of the Mill Grove Baptist Church in Quincy, IN. He was a union carpenter with Carpenters Local #301.  He worked for Gravely Construction in the 1960's and 70's and in the 1970's and 80's he worked for John Claws Campbell Co. He later worked for the Brown County State Park until his retirement in 1990. Cleo is survived by a sister, Corine Smith; a nephew, Jerry M. Allen; a niece, Shirley K. (Perry) Prather; caregiver, Pam M. Mercer; and several other nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beulah G. (Smith) Haynes. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, Funeral services will be at 10:30 am on Wednesday, July 17 in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.
