Charles Edward Hurst

Charles (Chuck) Edward Hurst, 62, of Plainfield, passed away on October 6,2022, after a 15-year battle with cancer.  He was born in August 31, 1960, in Indianapolis, IN and grew up in Bridgeport, IN.  He was a 1978 graduate from Avon High School.  After graduation, he moved to Plainfield, IN, where he lived most of his life.  For 30 years, Chuck was employed by Magnode Corporation, in the shipping/receiving department. Chuck liked spending time with family and friends, but his #1 priority in life was his son Charles (CJ) Edward Hurst Jr.  Chuck enjoyed building radio-controlled cars with CJ, camping and many other outdoor activities, but he especially enjoyed fishing. Chuck had many stories of the fishing adventures he had with his brother and friends.  He will be sadly missed by all of those who knew and loved him.  He is survived by his son Charles (CJ) Edward Hurst Jr., parents William & Charlene (Sager) Hurst, and brother John (Tammi) Hurst, along with bonus daughter Kayla Presley.  Visitation will be held at Hampton Gentry Funeral Home, in Plainfield, IN. on Monday, October 17 from 5:00 – 7:00pm immediately followed by a memorial service at 7:00 pm.  Interment of ashes will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery Columbarium at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made for his son at the funeral home
