Charles "Chuck" Kiefer

Charles "Chuck" Kiefer, 87, of Plainfield, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2022.  He was born on March 23, 1934 in Louisville, KY to the late Charles and Elizabeth Kiefer.  Chuck was an United States Navy veteran.  He retired from Honeywell in 1995 after 35 years with the company.  Chuck was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling with Mary Ann to historical places.  He loved spending time with his family whenever possible.  Chuck was a member of St. Susanna Catholic Church.  He belonged to the Knights of Columbus.  Chuck was preceded in death by a son in law, Van Hayes.  Visitation will be Wednesday, March 2, 2022 in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at St. Susanna Catholic Church (1210 E. Main Street, Plainfield, IN 46168) at 2:00 pm.  Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Ann Kiefer; daughters, Karen Kiefer, Susan Hayes (Jeffrey Ring) and Patti (Dave) Mongan; brother, Thomas Kiefer; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
