Charles W. Brown

Charles W. Brown, 86, of Danville, passed away on April 26, 2024.  He was born on October 2, 1937 in Sistersville, WV to the late Nelson and Vera Mae Brown.  Charles worked for the Department Of Education for the state of Ohio before retiring.  He attended the Plainfield Church of Christ and was a former member of the Zane Grey's West Society.  Charles enjoyed reading, history, archeology, and reading Zane Gray books.  He loved spending time with his family and dog.  Charles was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Sams.  A Celebration Of Life will be held at a later date.  Survivors include his loving wife, April Brown; daughter, Carol (Bryan) Hopkins; sons, Carl (Ranee) and Cristopher (Heather) Brown; sister, Peggy Saylor; brother, Bob (Diane) Brown; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Zane Gray West Society, www.zgws.org
