Carolyn Kay Frye

Carolyn Kay (Haskett) Frye, 81, of Indianapolis, passed away on March 25,2023.  She was born April 15, 1941, in Switz City, Indiana, and was the oldest child of Harley and Martha Lou Haskett. Her brother, Gene (Debbie) Haskett, sister, Marilyn(Don) Clayton and several nieces and nephews remain to celebrate her life.  On February 14, 1960, her high school sweetheart, Ronald Lee Frye, became her husband. Even while in the hospital, he recently helped her celebrate their anniversary with roses.  She was a member of the Fairfield Friends Meeting and Fairfield Homemakers Club.  A daughter, Danita (Thomas) Coffenberry, grandchildren; Elizabeth (Matt) Claxton, Jared (Molly) Slaven, Kaitlin (Juan Montemayor) Ward, and Tess (Trevor) McGeehon will remember her with love and respect. Kay was also blessed with seven, wonderful great-grandchildren.  Family and friends will gather on Tuesday, March 28,2023 at Hampton Gentry Funeral Home in Plainfield from 11:00-1:00.  Kay’s funeral will began at 1:00 and burial will take place at Fairfield Friends Cemetery.  In lieu of flower, the family asks that you make a contribution to the Indianapolis Humane Society
