Carl Fraley

Carl Fraley, 95, went to be with the Lord on June 2, 2023. He was at home and passed peacefully.  Carl was born to Andrew and Edna Froehle on April 26, 1928 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He came to Indiana with Ruby his wife, and their two oldest daughters in 1959. Carl was an United States Army veteran.  He was a sales representative for Marathon Oil until he purchased the chain of stations, Century Oil.  Carl had been involved in Mensa, Toastmasters, was an avid reader and animal lover.  He enjoyed golfing in his earlier years, was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan and liked the Rocky Mountains.  Carl was loved by many, he always saw the best in everyone and was a kind and generous man. He was a wonderful husband, a great father and friend to his children and grandchildren.  Carl is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ruby, 6 children, Linda (Al) Schenk, Carol Williams, Mark (Cheri) Fraley, Rob (Charlotte) Fraley, Ken (Kenja) Fraley, and Paula Fraley, 10 grandkids and 11 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Andrew (Bud) Froehle.  Funeral services will be on Friday, June 9, 2023 at 2:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may visit from 12:00 pm until the time of service at 2:00 pm.  Entombment will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery with military honors.
