Barbara Ann Winsted

Barbara Ann Winsted, 85, of Plainfield, passed away on April 2, 2019.  She was born in Indianapolis on December 25, 1933 to the late Francis Dale Padgett and Dorthea (Butterfield) Frank.  Barbara was a loving mother and a dedicated homemaker.  She attended the First Baptist Church in Plainfield.  Barbara was a member of the Foresters Friendly Society Club.  She was a big supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project.  Barbara was a den mother with the Boy Scouts for many years.  She sold Sarah Coventry Jewelry in her earlier years.  Barbara enjoyed to crochet and sew in her free time.  She was preceded in death by her first husband, Burt L. Long and second husband, Don Winsted; brother, Charles Padgett and a sister, Edith Baroni.  Funeral services will be Friday, April 5, 2019 at 12:30 PM in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may call from 11:00 am until time of service.  Burial will follow in Lincoln Memory Gardens, Whitestown, IN.  Survivors include her sons, Lynn, Dennis, Timothy (Debbie) and Wayne (Janet) Long; daughters, Allison Hatton and Martha Treaster; sister, Carolyn (Donald) Bryant; 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild on the way.
