When the War ended in 1945, Elizabeth reunited with her sweetheart, Marvin J. Anderson, marrying on March 7, 1946. The pair briefly lived in Bowling Green before moving to Louisville, then to the Indianapolis area, settling near Mooresville on their beloved Joppa farm. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Hawes and Laura Cobb, her husband Marvin Anderson, and her siblings Malcolm Anderson, Bruce Anderson, Samuel Anderson, Lewis Anderson and Rebecca Moreland.
