Alma "Joan" McCord

Alma "Joan" McCord, 90, of Danville, passed away on January 10, 2023.  She was born on October 20, 1932 in Pittsboro, IN to the late Paul and Crystal Smith.  Joan was a sales associate at Walmart for 27 years before retiring.  She enjoyed fishing, camping, jigsaw puzzles and going to the flea market in her free time.  Joan loved spending time with her family as often as she could.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Raymond McCord and her brother, Alan Smith.  Funeral services will be on Monday, January 16, 2023 at 12:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home where friends may visit from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12:00 pm.  Burial will follow in West Ridge Park Cemetery.  Survivors include her son, David McCord; daughter, Cindy Lough; sister, Norma McBride; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren.
