James T. Wolven, 91, of Greenwood passed away December 3, 2010 in his residence. He was born March 11, 1919 in Indianapolis to the late Montie and Elvie Wolven. He was a WW II Army veteran serving in the South Pacific in the medical corps 60th General Hospital Unit. Jim owned Wolven's Hardware Store 35 years, retiring in 1997. He was a former elder and member of Plainfield Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia (Edwards) Wolven; siblings, J. Edward Wolven, Martha Fisher and Georgia Surber. Funeral services will be Monday, December 6, at 10:00 am in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Sunday, December 5, from 1:00 - 4:00 pm. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Glenns Valley, IN. Survivors include his wife, Bonnie (Chasteen) Wolven; son, Jeffery Wolven; daughter, Deborah Long; step daughters, Jo Anne Chasteen and Vickie Rudisell; brother, Robert Wolven; sister, Laura Howard; 2 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren.
