Anna L. Hadley, 91, of Plainfield passed away November 24, 2010. She was born August 10, 1919 in Brazil, IN. to the late William and Selma Schlatter. She earned her bachelor and masters degrees from Indiana State University. She worked as a home extension agent in Crawfordsville after college. She then became a microbiologist for Eli Lilly. Anna started the school lunch program in Plainfield and taught home economics in Plainfield and Avon for 25 years before retiring. Her memberships include Hendricks County and Indiana State Retired Teachers Association, Retired Educators Sorority, Plainfield Order of Eastern Star and Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter L. Hadley; sister, Shirley McElroy and grandchildren, Randall and Michelle Hadley. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 27, at 10:00 am in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends may call on Friday, November 26, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. Burial will be in Clayton Cemetery. Survivors include sons, Michael (Barbara), Donald (Theresa) and David Hadley; daughter, Cheryl Moles; 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
