Irvin Cecil Hoffeditz, 83, of Plainfield, passed away November 17, 2010. He was born February 9, 1927 to the late Albert and Hazel Hoffeditz. He was a US Army veteran. He was co-owner of Hoffeditz Construction for 14 years until 1974 and later he was a machinist for Federal Mogul for 13 1/2 years retiring in 1992. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jean (Phillips) Hoffeditz; two daughters, Carol (Charles) Dickens, and Karen (Edward) Wilson; two brothers, Melvin (Donna) and Raymond (Cyrena) Hoffeditz; two sisters, Carolyn Wilson and Joan Higar; 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Sam Hoffeditz. Graveside services will be at 11:00 am Saturday, November 20, 2010 in the chapel at Maple Hill Cemetery. There will be no calling.
