James Roy Rowan

James Roy Rowan, 49, of Plainfield, passed away November 13, 2010. He was born July 16, 1961 in Fernandina Beach, FL. He was a US Navy veteran. He worked at Con-Way Central Express as a driver for 10 years. Roy volunteered at his children's elementay schools 10 hours per week and was assistant to several athletic coaches. He is survived by two sons, Nicholas and Michael Rowan; twin daughters, Elizabeth and Emily Rowan; his parents, Willie and Shirley (Selph) Rowan; and two brothers, David and Mark Rowan. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Thursday, November 18, 2010 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday November 17. Burial, Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.
