Reba Acton Hart, 96, of Plainfield, ended the battle with old age on August 31, 2010. Old age won. Reba grew up in a home located on Bridgeport Road. After marrying Kenneth, she lived on a small farm north of Plainfield for 70 years. In 1979 she retired from the Indiana Boys' School after working there for 25 years as a secretary. Reba was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth, who died in 2001. Reba is survived by her son, Frank (wife Patricia). She is also survived by her niece, Janet Pritchett of Puyallup, WA. Funeral services will be at the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield at 12:00 noon on Thursday September 2, 2010, where friends may call on Thursday from 10:00 am until service time at 12:00 noon. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Plainfield. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Plainfield Friends Meeting 105 S. East St. Plainfield, IN 46168 where Reba was a member. The family wishes to thank Westside Garden Plaza for the help and care that Reba received when she lived in independent and assisted living. Special thanks are extended to the administrators, doctors, nurses, aides, therapists, and others who helped care for Reba during the time that she was in Westside Nursing Center. You are a special group of people.
