Harry Theodore Haver Jr.

Harry T. Haver Jr., 77, of Plainfield, passed away August 20, 2010. He was born December 24, 1932 to the late Dr. & Mrs. Harry T. and Gladys (Nelson) Haver Sr. in Chicago, IL. He graduated with a BA from Iowa Wesleyan University and with a Master's Degree in hospital administration from the University of Iowa. He was a US Air Force veteran. Harry served as administrator at George Ade Memorial Hospital in Brook, IN from 1959-63. In 1963 he moved with his family to Plainfield, where he served as hospital administrator at Hendricks County Hospital until 1974. In 1966 he became a Fellow of the American College of Hospital Administrators. In 1973 he was the president of the Indiana Hospital Association. Harry also worked in hospital administration at Methodist Hospital, at University Heights Hospital and Wishard Hospital. He also worked at the Indiana State Board of Health. He is survived by his wife Beth (Condon) Haver, whom he married February 15, 1990. He is also survived by two sons, John T. (Kathy) and Todd Haver; a daughter, Sara A. (Randy) Wright; two stepsons, Casey (Dee Dee) and Donovan (Shayna) Roberts; a stepdaughter, Erin (Noel) Sutton; a sister, Nancy C. Jenness; a brother , Kenneth R. (Joyce) Haver; and 9 grandchildren including Jessica Wright. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sally Jane Dillon Haver. Memorial services will be at 7:00 pm Wednesday August 25, 2010 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 pm until services at 7:00 pm. Contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Plainfield music ministry or the Hendricks Regional Health Foundation.
