Ellis Claborn Gilliam

Ellis Claborn Gilliam, 78, of Plainfield, passed away July 12, 2010. He was born April 10, 1932 to the late Ellis C. and Mildred G. (Denton) Gilliam in Raysel, WV. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He was an electrical worker for local IBEW #481 for 20 years. He is survived by his wife, Betty J. (Dixon) Gilliam; a son, Michael A. (Stephanie) Gilliam; three daughters, Deborah L. (Kevin) Klutts, Susan E. Kurtz, Michele (John) Bair; four brothers, William, David, Donald, and Kenneth Gilliam; three sisters, Barbara Jean Worthington, Carol Searcy, and Doris Poland; four grandchildren, Ashley Kurtz, Sara Klutts, Jennifer Bair, and Michael Gilliam Jr.; and one great grandchild, Mason Gaffney. Graveside services will be at 10:00 am Friday, July 16, 2010 in the West Ridge Park Cemetery, Indianapolis. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday July 15, in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield.
