Martha Hayden Swindler

Martha (Hayden) Swindler, 86, of Newberg, Oregon, formerly of Plainfield, passed away June 17, 2010 at her home in the Friendsview Retirement Community. She was born March 31, 1924 in Hendricks County, IN to the late Grant and Mary (Berry) Hayden. She married Henry Swindler on October 22, 1942. Henry proceeded her in death in 2002. She attended Indiana Business College and was employed with Public Service Indiana when she retired in 1986. She and Henry were active members of the Plainfield Bible Church. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 31, 2010, at the Plainfield Bible Church, 752 Dan Jones Road, at 9:30 am. She was proceeded in death by a sister, Lenora Weaver. Survivors include four daughters, Nora (Wayne) Adams, Newberg, OR; Mary (David) Stephens, Raleigh, NC; Sara (Rick) Haldi, Boardman, OH; Rachel (Raul) Tavera, Houston, TX; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Gideon International Bible Society in memory of Martha Swindler. Arrangements by Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield.
