George A. Screes Jr.

George A. Screes Jr., 86, of Amo, IN. passed away May 30, 2010. He was born September 12, 1923 in Indianapolis to the late George and Mary Susan (Williams) Screes Sr. He was a WW II Navy veteran. George retired in 1987 after 23 years as power plant engineer for the Indiana Boys School. He also was a truck driver for Midland Coop in Stilesville for 14 years. He was a charter member of Plainfield Eagles Lodge # 3207. Visitation will be Thursday, June 3, from 11:00 - 1:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield. Graveside services will follow at 1:15 pm in Maple Hill Cemetery. He was preceded in death by wives, Velma Screes, Beverly June Screes and Shirley Screes, as well as a brother, A.J. (Rusty) Screes and sister, Martha Jane Hollis. Survivors include his children, George E. Screes and Mary F. Rund; 3 grandchildren.
