William H. Coy, 93, of Plainfield, IN., passed away May 27, 2010. He was born January 18, 1917 in Indianapolis, IN. to the late Winfred and Clara (Potts) Coy. He was a 1936 graduate of Avon High School and 1949 graduate of the Butler School of Pharmacy. Bill was a WW II Army veteran. He was a co-owner of C&E Drugs in Plainfield and Avon. His memberships include Pearl Harbor Survivors Association, Plainfield American Legion and the Conservation Bird Dog Club where he was the first president. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 1, at 2:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends may call from 12 noon until time of service. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Bill was preceded in death by his twin brother, George D. Coy. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Josephine (Payne) Coy; daughters, Carol (Jay) Clapp, Linda (Ken) Farley and Jane (Jeff) Weisman; 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren.
