Lloyd Wayne Bowman

Lloyd Wayne Bowman, 74, of Indianapolis, passed away May 17, 2010. He was born September 13, 1935 to the late Vernon Carl and Mary Winnie (Lee) Bowman in Whitesburg, TN. He was a US Army veteran serving during the Occupation Forces in Germany after WWII. He was discharged in 1957. In 1958 he was part owner in the Shouse, Bowman, Bentley Construction Co, and later in 1961 he worked for the Johnston Electric Co in Plainfield for 25 years. He then joined the Carter Construction Co. in Avon where he was still employed as a foreman when he passed away. He was a member of the Plainfield Eagles Lodge. He is survived by a son, Jeff W. (Sharon) Bowman; two daughters, Kathie A. (Todd) Greenwood and Ellen Marie Bowman; two brothers, Danny and James Bowman; and 9 grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 7:00 pm Friday, May 21, 2010 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Friday from 3:00 pm until service time at 7:00 pm. Graveside services with military honors will be at Morriset Chapel Cemetery, Whitesburg, TN Sunday May 23 at 3:00 pm
