Garry Lee Close

Garry Lee Close, 68, of Plainfield, went to be with the Lord April 28, 2010. He was born February 23, 1942 in Covington, KY. He was a US Army veteran, and a member of the Bethesda Baptist Church. He was a regional sales manager for REFCO for 16 years retiring in 2008. Garry is survived by his wife, Janice A. (Fogle) Close: two sons their families, Dan G. (Shelly) and children, Gavin and Sydney Close; Darrel L. (Lisa) and children, Joshua, Benjamin, Joel and Nathan Close; a daughter and her family, Rebekah L. (Tim) and children, Douglas, Rachel, and Elisabeth Robb; his step-father and his mother, Gene and Leslie (Sisson) Scroggins; and a brother, Mark Scroggins. He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Close and two brothers and a sister. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Friday, April 30, 2010 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, April 29.
