Nellie C. Warner

Nellie C. Warner, 92, of Plainfield, IN. passed away April 6, 2010. She was born May 3, 1917 in Ladoga, IN. to the late Harold A. and Hallie Henry Caldwell. She was a graduate of Ladoga High School. She married Homer E. Warner on May 10, 1941 in Roachdale, IN. He preceded her in death in 2006. She was employed as a bookkeeper over the years, retiring in 1982 from Warner Spring Service. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Kappa Sorority. Nellie was a charter member of Hope United Presbyterian Church ( 1331 Section St.)in Plainfield, where a funeral service will be held on Friday, April 9, at 1:00 pm. Friends may call from 11:00 am until the time of service at the church. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Raymond, Joe and Gene and 2 sisters, Margaret Applegate and Dorothy Clampitt. Survivors include her daughters, Carol (James) Barnes of Louisville, KY. and Phyllis (Ronald) Daulton of Indianapolis; sister, Louise Powers of Ladoga; 2 grandchildren, Brad Barnes and Dr. Lori Sweat; 2 great grandchildren, Patrick and Elizabeth Sweat. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the church.
