Dale Freeman

Raymond Dale Freeman, 80 of Plainfield, IN. passed away April 4, 2010 in St. Vincent Hospice. He was born April 18, 1929 in Indianapolis to the late Worth and Lucille Freeman. He was a master wood worker and kitchen remodeling contractor where he owned his own business from 1963-1977. He retired in 1992 from Sears in Houston, Tx. as a professional kitchen designer. His interests include foreign mission trips, campers on mission, various activities and travel with Plainfield Christian Church Golden Glows. Dale also enjoyed volunteer work at the church in numerous ministries, including VBS crafts, food ministry, ushering and communion service. He also volunteered at Hendricks Regional Health. He was a member of Plainfield Christian Church where a funeral service will be held on Friday, April 9, at 11:00 am. Visitation will be Thursday, April 8, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at the church and from 10:00 am until the time of service on Friday. Entombment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Brian Freeman. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Lee Freeman; sons, Michael (Linda), Randall (Valerie), David (Donna) and Robert (Tina) Freeman, all of Greenwood, IN.; daughters, Susan (Bruce) Canal of Plainfield and LuAnne (Ray) Smith of Columbia, SC.; stepsons, David (Nancy) Crouch of Pasadena, TX., and Larry (Lisa) Crouch of San Leon, TX.; brothers, Harold Freeman of Connersville, IN. and Charles Freeman of North Salem, IN.; sisters, Virginia Farley Combs of Elletsville, IN. and Mary Alice Baker of Bedford, IN.; 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 4 step grandchildren. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Plainfield Christian Church for Missions.
