Barbara L. Patterson

Barbara L. (Jewel) Patterson, 77, of Dayton, IN formerly of Plainfield, passed away March 18, 2010. She was born March 23, 1932 to the late Benjamin and Winifred (Blue) Jewel in Dugger, IN. She was a homemaker and a member of the Dayton United Methodist Church. She is survived by two sons, Michael L. (Vickie) and Richard A. (Jacque) Patterson; five daughters, Diane L. (Dale) Smeelink, Karen L. (Chuck) Ellis, Robin A. Fifer, Lisa G. (Ashley) Stevenson, and Angie D. Zediker; a brother, Dennis Jewel; two sisters, Shirley Barrick and Kay Ogelsby; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion L. Patterson, and a grandson, Kent Stevenson. Funeral services will be Monday March 22, 2010 at 11:00 am in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, 106 Shaw St., Plainfield, IN, where friends may call on Sunday, March 21 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm. Burial, Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
