Donald S. Bayliff, 87, of Plainfield, IN. passed away March 6, 2010 in Plainfield Health Care. He was born April 1, 1922 in Plainfield to the late George and Laura (Simpson) Bayliff. He was a WW II Marine serving in the South Pacific. He married Mabel Kathryn (Hartsock) on August 30, 1968. Don retired from Diamond Chain Company in 1985 after 35 years as a lab technician. He was a member of the Plainfield Church of Christ. Don was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Jean (McCracken) Bayliff; a son, Danny Lee Bayliff; brothers, Delbert, Lester, Forest, Loren, Clifford and Dean Bayliff; sister, Beatrice Price. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 9, at 1:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends may call from 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will be in Clayton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity. Survivors include his wife, Mabel (Hartsock) Bayliff; daughter, Deborah K. (Ken) Reynolds; sister, Marjorie (Russ) Long; 1 step grand daughter, Dawn Chumley, 5 step great grandchildren and several friends at Plainfield Health Care.
