George C. Robinson

George C. Robinson Jr., of Clayton, IN. passed away January 25, 2010 in his residence. He was born July 20, 1934 in Indianapolis, IN. to the late George C. Sr. and Mary Belle (Kelly) Robinson. He retired from Allison Transmission in 1992 after 33 years as a journeyman electrician and journeymen welder. His memberships include the UAW local 933 and radio controlled airplane clubs,"The Black Sheep Squadron" and "The Screaming Eagles. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 30, at 10:00 am in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Friday, January 29 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. Burial will be in Clayton Cemetery. He was preceded in death by a sister, Della Black. Survivors include his wife, Betty (Fry) Robinson; son, Glenn Robinson; daughters, Georgenna Gick, Phyllis Hayes, Lisa Schlundt and Becky Sallee; brothers, Frank and Clarence Robinson; sisters, Mary Hurst, Kathleen Robinson, Betty Lacey and Sharon Arthur; 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
