Robert E. "Red" Smith

Robert E. "Red" Smith, 84 of Plainfield, IN. passed away January 20, 2010. He was born November 13, 1925 in Worthington, IN. to the late Charles and Agnes Smith. Red was a US Army Air Corp. veteran of WW II. He retired in 1985 after 37 1/2 years at PSI. He also retired from Albertson and Son Inc. in 1985 after 10 years. Red was a member of Plainfield Christian Church. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 23, at 10:30 am in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends may call on Friday, January 22, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Eugenia Jane (McIntyre) Smith; son, David A. (Kim) Smith; daughter, Cathy S. Swinford; brother, Carl Smith; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
