Shad L. McConkey

Shad L. McConkey, 44 of Avon, passed away January 1, 2010. He was born December 12, 1965 in Rochester, IN. He received his Associates Degree from Ivy Tech and Ball State University. He was an operations manager for several area homebuilders. He attended Kingsway Christian Church. Shad is survived by his wife, Kerri J. Morgan; a son, Michael L. McConkey; a daughter, Morgan L. McConkey; his mother, Betty (Jacobson) Townsend; and a sister, Crystal Duke. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry McConkey. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Monday January 4, 2009 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends may call from 2:00 to 6:00 pm Sunday, January 3, 2009. Burial, Lower Mound Cemetery, Covington, IN. Contributions will be accepted for the children of Shad McConkey.
