Ralph E. Holmes

Ralph E. Holmes, 62, of Plainfield, passed away December 28, 2009. He was born June 27, 1947 in Indianapolis, IN. He was a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 500 and a Masonic Lodge member. He is survived by his wife, Patty A. (Gibson) Holmes; his mother, Myra (Kohles) Holmes; a son, John Holmes; two daughters, Trysh Thompson, and Jennifer Fikes; three sisters, Dianne Davis, Cheryl Smith, and Kathryn Underwood; and 5 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph R. Holmes. Funeral services will be at 1:30 pm Wednesday December 30, 2009 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, 106 Shaw St., Plainfield, IN, where friends may call on Wednesday from 11:00 am until service time at 1:30 pm. Burial, Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield, IN. Donations may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
