Lola E. Springate

Lola E. Springate, 94 of Plainfield, IN. passed away December 1, 2009. She was born July 2, 1915 in Indianapolis to the late Frank and Mary Angrick. She retired in 1977 after 45 years as a school teacher for Wayne Township School Corp. She earned her B.S. and Master's degrees from Butler University. Lola was a member of St. Susanna Catholic Church, where a Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 4, at 10:00 am. Visitation will be Thursday, December 3, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. She was preceded in death by husbands, Robert Carmichael and George Springate. Survivors include her children, Roberta Foster, Carolyn (John) Eggers , Frank (Jamie) Springate and Michael (Marcia) Springate; sisters, Catherine Greene and Gertrude Gruca; 13 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
