Albert John Hall

Albert John Hall, 94, Plainfield, passed away November 17, 2009 at Hendricks Regional Health. He was born March 29, 1915 in Plainfield to the late John and Ida (Newlin) Hall. Albert Hall was a lifelong farmer. He also drove a school bus for over 30 years for the Plainfield School Corporation and was a rural mail carrier for 37 years for the United States Postal Service. Albert was a member of the Plainfield Friends Meeting and Fairfield Friends Meeting. He was born and raised as a Quaker on his family farm south of Plainfield, where he lived his entire life. Albert attended Sugar Grove Elemetary School and graduated from Plainfield High School in 1933. The importance of family is a tradition Albert has passed down through generations. He is survived by his daughter, Alberta Shaw; and a son and daughter-in-law; John and Pam Hall; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva (McCollum) Hall and his daughter, Marcia Peacock. Funeral services will be Friday, November 20, at 11:00 am in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends may call on Thursday, November 19, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery.
