Larry R. Wiley

Larry R. Wiley, 69, of Freedom, IN. formerly of Plainfield, IN. passed away November 11, 2009. He was born March 12, 1940 in Connorsville, IN. to the late Rex and Helen Wiley. For most of his life he was raised by Max and Helen Pool. Larry was a 1958 graduate of Manuel High School when he joined the US Navy. After the military he worked as a plant supervisor for Foto Lab in Plainfield for 20 years. He was also the former head of security at Indianapolis International Airport and owner of Shirt Tails for 10 years. His memberships include Plainfield Masonic Lodge # 653, Indianapolis Scottish Rite, past president of Plainfield Chamber of Commerce, former Masonic Home board member and long time coach of girls softball in Plainfield. Visitation will be Friday, November 13 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield. A graveside service will be Saturday, November 14 at 11:00 am in Gosport Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Wiley; daughters, Vickie Callahan, Lisa Mosley and Christine Ridenour; son, Justin Wiley; brothers, Mike Wiley and Tim Pool; sister, Betty Jones; 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
