Margaret Ann O'Kon

Margaret Ann O'Kon, 71, of Plainfield, passed away October 30, 2009. She was born August 12, 1938 to the late William and Lenora (Wheeler) Stanley in Brazil, IN. She was a 1956 graduate of Plainfield High School. She worked for PSI, Plainfield for 22 years retiring as executive secretary in 1995. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Plainfield. She volunteered for the food pantry and also many activities in the church, including the Church Federation. She participated in the Study Buddy program offered in the Plainfield Schools. She is survived by three sons, Stanley (Tammy), Scott (Stephaine) and Kyle (Stacey) Edrington; a brother, Arty Bill Stanley; a sister, Loretta Jordan; 4 grandchildren, Michael, Stan, Nikki, and Gennifer Edrington; a niece and nephews, Karen Williams, Keith and Doug Jordan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael J. O'Kon. Funeral services will be at the First Baptist Church of Plainfield, 1012 Stafford Rd., on Thursday November 5, 2009 at 10:30 am. Visitation will also be at the church on Wednesday November 4 from 3:00 to 8:00 pm. Burial, Sugar Grove Cemetery, Plainfield. Contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Plainfield or the St. Mark's Food Pantry. Arrangements by Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield.
