Richard E. Slattery Jr.

Richard E. Slattery Jr., 59, of Plainfield, IN., passed away September 24, 2009. He was born in Ft. Wayne, IN. on June 29, 1950 to Richard E. and Peggy Slattery Sr. He worked for Dealers Wholesale for 13 years as an installation manager. His memberships include the NRA, Act of Faith and the Plainfield First Assembly of God Church (620 N. Carr Rd.) where a funeral service will be held on Monday, September 28, at 11:00 am. Friends may call at the church on Sunday, September 27, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm. Entombment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard E. Slattery Sr., sister, Cheryl Poland and stepbrother, Richard Parks. Survivors include his wife, Karen Sue Slattery; son, Stephen Slattery; daughters, Laurie (John) Thommen, Darlene Auer; brothers, Dan and Brian Slattery; sisters, Pam Houser, Jane Slattery; mother, Peggy Parks; stepbrother, Terry Parks; stepsisters, Carla Russell, Wanda Dodzik; grandchildren, Phillip and Joshua Auer.
