Edward B. Estes

Edward B. Estes, 84, of Plainfield, IN. passed away September 22, 2009. He was born December 10, 1924 in Eubank, KY. to the late Shipton and Lura Estes. He retired after 10 years as the service manager for National Car Rental. Prior to that he held the same position with Joe Knopp Ford in Plainfield for 21 years. He was a WW II Army veteran where he received the Purple Heart. Ed was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Friday, September 25, at 11:00 am in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, where friends may call from 4:00 - 8:00 pm on Thursday, September 24. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Patty (Longmire) Estes; daughters, Bonnie Collings, Debbie Heylmann and Kim Shoemaker; son, Dave Estes; sisters, Maxine Scott and Faye Kerr; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
