Charles E. Ewig

Charles E. Ewig, 78, of Plainfield, passed away September 3, 2009. He was born February 6, 1931 to the late Oscar and Meta (Anderson) Ewig in Port Washington, WI. He was a pilot in the US Air Force serving his country during the Korean War. He worked as a systems analyst for the FAA, IBM and Lockheed-Martin. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Shirley N. (Small) Ewig. He is also survived by a son, Karl (Brenda) Ewig; two daughters, Pamela (Scott) Kirkpatrick, and Linda Haines: 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Adrian Majdacic. He was a member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, 1001 Concord Rd., Plainfield, where services will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 10:00 am. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm Friday September 4 at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield. Burial, Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield.
