Vernon E. Sigler

Vernon E. Sigler, 91, of Plainfield, passed away April 13, 2017. He was born March 9, 1926 to the late Curtis and Stella (Shelton) Sigler in Henderson, KY. He was a member of the Plainfield Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. He owned and operated I&W Asphalt Paving for 18 years retiring in 1986. Vernon is survived by two daughters, Jeanette (Gary) Johnson, Betty (Dorris) Liggett; a step-son, James (Connie) Polley; a step-daughter, Alma Idell Grant; 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma (Ware) Sigler; a daughter, Verna Marie Sigler; a grandson, Gary Glenn Johnson; and 12 brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 17, 2017 in the Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where friends may call on Monday from 11:00 am until service time at 2:00 pm. Burial will be in Floral Park Cemetery, Indianapolis.
